This notice says what we do with information about you if we wrote to you, you wrote to us, or you bought from us. Calmintro is run by David Sloiko, a sole trader, at 20 Templegreen, Churchtown, Newcastle West, Co. Limerick, V42 AH01, Ireland. He decides how your information is used. Reach him at david@calmintro.com.
Some of our emails are sent by independent sellers, who sell our introductions for a commission and sign with their own names. When a seller wrote to you, the seller and David decide together how your information is used: the seller chooses whom to write to and where they found them, and David sets the rules every seller follows. Whoever wrote to you, write to David about anything in this notice.
We look for businesses that may need each other, mostly in public registers and filings, such as permits. We find who works there and their work email address through an email-finding service. So we hold your name, your role, your business, your work contact details, and the public record that led us to you. Sellers also find people in business contact databases and on company websites. Ask us and we'll tell you where we found you.
If you reply or talk with us, we also keep what you tell us. If you buy from us, we keep what you bought and what you paid. Stripe takes the payment, so we never see your full card number; Stripe also uses payment details under its own privacy policy.
We use this to write to you about introductions, to introduce you to the other side when you both agree, to deliver what clients buy, and to keep our accounts. We do this in our legitimate interest in introducing businesses that need each other: we write only about your work, and you can make us stop at any time. For clients, we also do it to carry out our contract with you or your business, and to keep the records that Irish tax law requires.
An introduction is one email to both of you, so each side gets the other's name, role, business, and contact details. We send it only after each of you has told us you want what the other offers. The other side is usually in the United States, where your details are not protected the way they are in the EU.
These services handle the information for us: Instantly sends our outreach email; Google Workspace runs our mailboxes, some of which we buy through CheapInboxes; Notion holds our records, and Cloudflare stores our encrypted backups; Anthropic's Claude helps us research and write; Stripe takes payments; and Hetzner hosts this website in Germany. MailTester Ninja, in the United Kingdom, checks that a work email address accepts mail and keeps nothing afterward. Icypeas, in France, finds and checks work email addresses, and keeps its search results for its own service, under its own privacy policy. Our sellers send through our own email-sending service, from mailboxes and domains they may run with their own providers, mostly in the United States; ask us and we'll name them. A seller who makes an introduction for us sends it from a Calmintro mailbox.
Most of these companies are in the United States, so your information goes there. Google, Notion, Stripe and Cloudflare take part in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Instantly is bound by the EU's standard contractual clauses. The United Kingdom has an EU adequacy decision. One of our sellers lives in Ukraine, which the EU has not found to protect information the way the EU does, so the seller is bound by the EU's standard contractual clauses for everything we send them. Write to us for a copy of the safeguards that apply.
We keep a record of everyone we have emailed, so that nobody gets the same cold email twice, and of everyone who asked us to stop, so that we never write to them again. We keep what you told us while it may still lead to an introduction. We keep clients' records for six years, as Irish tax law requires. A seller who stops selling for us deletes what we gave them within 30 days, except the list of people who asked us to stop; contacts they found themselves become theirs alone, and they never write to them for us again.
This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics. Our server handles your IP address to deliver pages. We do not keep website access logs; errors may appear in system logs.
You can ask us for a copy of your information, in a form you can take elsewhere, and ask us to correct it, delete it, or limit how we use it. You can object to how we use it, and if you object to our emails, we stop. To stop our emails, reply "stop" to any of them, or write to david@calmintro.com. Once you ask, nobody writes to you for Calmintro again, whoever sent the email. For anything else, write to david@calmintro.com. If you think we got something wrong, you can complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.
When what we do changes, we change this notice. This version is from October 2026.
